Heritage Walking Trail - Web Based System

I wonder if anyone can help point me in the right direction.
We are a small community based charity who want to apply for a heritage grant to inform and tell people about the locality.
To do this we are seeking funds to create a display board and a sort of QR code system which would allow people to scan the sign and receive information and and follow a guided trail through the area.
Forgive me if I am not using the correct terminology but I'm a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to these matters.
I was wondering has anyone done something similar or do they know of companies who could do this for us. I'm not making a great deal of progress and would greatly appreciate any advice or help people have to offer.

Find your local volunteer organisation by googling Volunteer plus your city / county / general area. See if they have access to software for identifying suitable grants, and start applying. Also see if they can help with finding a volunteer if you write a job description.Signature removed for peace of mind0
