Switching - But we have just purchased the house?
Me and my partner have just purchased our first house.. Weare on a duel fuel 'bill saver' tariff from npower. Currently we are doing thehouse up and so the electricity and gas are minimal, we plan to be in around Christmastime.
I’ve done a comparison (not based on our usage but based onthe house size) the results say we can save about £40 on Scottish power fixed2014 tariff.
Should we switch now before we know how many KWH we use? orwait for the first bill and then do a comparison again - risking that the Scottishpower offer may be gone.

Base it on 16,500 kWh of gas and 3,300 kWh of electricity pa, assuming gas CH and DHW.
But if you are not moving in for months, it's best to be on an NSC tariff for the moment. The last cheap fixes will all be gone very shortly. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
