    I've been Money Tipped!
Im shocked by this, as I have been on benefits a few times, once 3 years ago when my brother was murdered, and I was badly ill and on anti depressants, I had 4 months doctors notes, , which jobcentre lost, then I got new ones and jobcentre said it was too late to claim, as 4 months had passed, then again 18 months ago, I was off due to a stomach problem and this was for 5 months, and this time the social security staff gave me wrong information and told me to claim incapacity benefit when it should have been income support, and by time they told me this was wrong they said they cant backdate unless I can remember the persons name, exact date and time, and what they said to me! so I lost another 5 months money! great benefit system, yet a young lad about 18 walks into New Deal section and his adviser asks him "have you applied for any jobs" and he says "no I dont want to work, I cant be arsed" and she tells him off and lets him go away with his benefit intact, again great system!

Anyway my claim gave me loads of stress as you can expect, and the cheeky woman on phone said to me "you are mumbling and changing your story so I think you are lying" in a rude tone of voice.

I think its just as theres a stigma attached to benefits, people who make an honest claim SHOULD worry about this, as the government is likely to cut and paste results they want, i.e if some questions come accross as lying, they would use them and not use the rest of questions for claimaint which show them telling truth, even if the lie is 1 question. and the questions may be vague, and trick people.

seems to be a few people who dont care how innocent people are affected as long as it reduces claimants.

    Came across following article.

I guess this sums up this crazy Lie Detector nonsense.

Boffins develop phone call boredom spotter
    http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/news/2141099/boffins-develop-boredom-spotter

"Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) are developing software that measures how interested a phone caller is in your conversation.

The Jerk-O-Meter analyses speech patterns and tonal changes to measure on a scale of one to 100 how engaged the subject is about the call.

If it detects that the recipient is losing interest in the call it flashes up messages like 'Don't be a jerk!' or 'Be a little nicer now'.

It uses speech features for activity and stress (and soon empathy) to measure if you are 'being a jerk' on the phone.

...and the first applications will probably be in the telesales industry."
