Blushing Rose - (a pretty name you have) I never intended this to be a diary but it looks like its heading that way! i thought a couple of questions and I'll be gone!!
I have found by posting what I have done gives me motivation to carry on as I can see what I am acheiving and have already done.

I wonder if I can get it moved to the diary section, because if I do continue with updates theres going to be a lot of rabbiting for the next 18 months:rotfl:

On another note I have had an email from CW, it maybe a junk one, saying my first payment of £450 is due on ...(no date given). Started to panic then stopped and decided to find out whats going on. Don't want to waste a perfectly good panic on nothing!

No sanie van expenditure so far this week :)

Thanks, wish I lived up to the name :rotfl:

It's probably an automated email if they haven't taken you off their list or something yet.
There should be no problem as you've already cancelled the DD.
have you had confirmation via letter yet to say that you're no longer a client? Might be a bit soon for that.

Speaking of buying unnecessary things - do you need to go anywhere near the shops? If you buy one unnecessary thing every time you go shopping (which I tend to) fewer trips to the shops might be a simple method of lowering your spending?

Theoretica - No I don't actually. I just like to get some air (don't have a garden) and always find myself walking that way, major temptation are charity shops, a couple of quid here and there actually really does add up - self realisation moment!:)

It's not until someone points these things out that I begin to look at the bigger picture - so used to doing things one way!

Have a good day everyone :)

Here's a thought - put a jar or similar near the door and every time you come home from the shops without spending anything put £1 in (or 50p or whatever) and then after a month, say, you can use that money to buy yourself a little treat.

I have received my income and expenditure form from cap1 so will fill that out once I have Octobers payslip. I will already make a payment to them anyway, so they know im all good, and can start with the agreed payments in December.
Also I have an extra £85 to pay to them thanks to ebay and the 1% challenge.

I'm really excited - I feel like I'm finally getting a proper handle on things. Octobers spending diary is reading so much better than Septembers already and -even I don't believe this- still have the £50 in my account from the end of September! That's £50 towards my MOT in a couple of months.

Did anyone else get this excited when sorting out their affairs!
(I've been smiling almost constantly since I rejoined MSE):)

Hope everyones having a good day:j
