Ink for lexmark x2480?

Hello,

I have been given a new lexmark x2480 all in one printer.

It has no ink and I am not sure how many ink cartridges do you actually need to print anything out?
Do I order 1 black,1 colour,I have not had a printer before.I am quite stunned at ink prices so want to make sure I am going to order the right one.

A lot of printers will only run if all cartridges have ink in them

Would you use compatible inks?

Yes don,t mind using compatible cartridges.Do you mean I should put cartridges in every one of the slots available in the printer?Thanks.

Yes

Cheapest black compatible I saw was here, though check for better prices

The colour cost at Britink was competetive, however, Refresh do a refill by post option, so if you got their colour one, it would only cost £9 to refill it

I use Refresh for another printer and have never had a problem with them, so if you get on with their colour cartridge, you could get a total of two so you always have one to run in the printer.

Didn't see a black one listed at Refresh, though you could ask if they do one
