Refund sent to closed account :0(

Hi
I would like some advice plz, I had an account with natwest that was closed in November 2011, however gala have sent my winnings back to the card linked to this account, I had removed the card but it didn't disappear their side for some reason, I have told gala of their misstake but they are being much help!!
Any one know what I can do to get the money in my current bank account?

Good chance it is sat in one of the banks internal accounts. You will need to talk to NatWest about that.
They will also be able to advise if they bounced the payment back to Gala as well.
I guess Gala have done what they should and payed the money back to the card the funds come from, which will be why you could not remove it.

Yep, if the refund has gone through it should be sat in your old branch's errors banking account. Unless you have any accounts open with Natwest still, in which case it should have found its way into that open account

Errors banking is like a holding account for money that we don't know what to do with. The branch needs to try and keep it at £0, so will probably be quite grateful you got in touch!

Thanks for the replys, I haven't had an account with natwest for almost a year so hopefully they will return the money to gala who can then put it back in the right card hopefully,
Dalesrider I didn't put funds in for this account as it is closed I used my current debit card, someone at gala in their infinite wisdom just decided to pay my winnings back there.
