Gas prepaid Card

After watching Martin's program last night; I was just wondering about changing my provider.
We use a prepaid gas card, (the landlord won't let us change this)
I had a look on a website last night and found I could save up to £200 a year by going with another company.
Can I just get a new card with the new people, top it up and put that in the meter.
Or will I need to get the whole meter changed?
Hoping its just the first one! Now that winters coming, be nice to have the heating on at a lower cost! :T
Thanks for you help in advance.
