Oh my lovelies, you have made me weepy and filled me with lovely feelings. I'm doing ok, a bit overwhelmed, but we are in a rather fortunate position, no kids or mortgage and enough of a payout to last at least a year without making any changes - worst case scenario. It's just knocked my confidence, a lot, and today I feel cross, but determined.
I have a couple of months and feelers out already, so hopefully it'll all be good, I just feel so sad to say goodbye.

Anyway, time to take action! Today I have/will:
    - clicks and searches
    - job searches
    - NSD for me (out for dinner with friends tonight but OH paying)
    - finish budget for payday tomorrow
    - lunch and drinks from home (bought FAR too many coffees yesterday, bad habit I need to break all over again)
    - keep positive
    - track calories (menu for tonight looks sooooo tempting!)
    - check bank
    - read email

Have a good day my DFW angels, thanks for your kind words and thoughts.
The really positive way to look at this is, when I find another job, I really will be debt free!

  • Hello hello!

Back again to say hello and that I love how supportive this thread is. :) Sometimes I kinda wish we were all on an email chain and emailing each other instead (so I could keep up properly at work ;) ), but then I guess no newbies would find us and that isn't the point of the site :naughty: I also thought I could subscribe to the RSS feed but that is for the forum in general rather than just this thread… Anyway, for now I'm logging in on my (extended) lunch break and skim reading everything. :)

    Here's me

:) Paid a whole…wait for it…£290 off my cc!! Ok, ok, £260 was expenses that I was due but there was a day when I would've kept that in my current a/c and worried about the cc bill later :p
:) Proofread OH's job app - would be perfect for him - as always fingers crossed…
:) Made appt at apple store - ipod is kaput but still under warranty - not even 6 months old :(

Sibles - you'll get through it. I'm imagining you walking into a new place and putting that payout to v good use when you do!
Ziggy - big hugs. I'm glad to hear they're looking into what's wrong with you.
DNMS - I hear ya, sista! Loving the positivity stuff

    xxx
  • Hi everyone,

Good to see the thread busy again :) Can you all do me a favour & send some motivation my way please? Seriously slipping up on the diet, MSE & just generally feeling demotivated!

DNMS - Thanks for starting us off & glad you're feeling positive.
Stitchy - Glad you're in a good mood today, although I'm not surprised with the fab results from your financial fast!
NTBY - Sorry to be nosey but what on earth is field work in a brothel?
WantToBeSE - Well done! You'll be debt free in no time :T
Ziggy - Hope it's nothing serious, take it easy today!
Sibles - I'm sure you'll find a new job before a year so this could actually work out very well for you!

To everyone on MFP - You need to go into your settings to change your diary privacy, I think everyone has reverted to private as I had to change mine so you can see it.

    Today's plan:-
    • Food from stores
    • Lunch included some veggies "liberated" from work, they would go to waste otherwise!
    • Make use of free water at work
    • Make full use of the free fruit available from work again, yay!
    • Making use of free pedometer, I don't do anywhere near as many steps as I should do on a Tuesday it would seem! Today I am seeing how many calories I burn.
    • Stay in for my lunchbreak to avoid spending
    • Log calories using free app
    • Charged phone at work
    • Check online banking
    • Surveys
    • Must declutter a bit & do some flylady as there's lots in need of doing
    • DH doing overtime this evening
    • Dinner from stores
    • Make use of TKD membership
Have a great, MSE day everyone x

I work for a reproductive health organization so I'm going out to try and assess the needs of specific groups so that we can serve them better. As you can imagine the health status inside Ugandan brothels (esp at the low end, some of these ladies are working for about 20p a client) is pretty shocking.

Missed your news on the previous thread, Sibs. Sorry to hear it, but it sounds like you have a great attitude to move onwards and upwards.

  • I will also:
      [STRIKE]
    • deliver eggs to two customers[/STRIKE] and picked 650g of elderberries and 550g of raspberries on the way home (Can see a jamming session looming....)
      [STRIKE]
    • catch up on household accounts[/STRIKE]
    • spend most of the day in the sewing room - [STRIKE]two repair jobs[/STRIKE] did five repairs and a blouse to finish - too tired and full of cold to concentrate on this
      [STRIKE]
    • lunch from stores[/STRIKE]
    • start cutting fabric for Roman Blinds as above, maybe on Friday....
      [STRIKE]
    • keep checking for surveys - might get a voucher by Xmas!!![/STRIKE] claimed voucher from VO, another £10 to go fro Onep*ll
    • HM fish pie for dinner - everything from stores
    • have an NSD

Not too bad seeing my head feels stuffed with cotton wool! Just dinner to cook and then spend the evening reading and knitting. Bliss!

    Today I will:

#Charge mobile away from home. Done.

#Find out how much Council Tax will be in new property. It's still going to be Band A, despite being in a nicer neighbourhood; and even though we're going from a derelict one-bedroom tenement to a terraced house with two gardens.

#Find out what happens to car insurance when we move. Done; it gets cheaper and we get a rebate!

    #OnePoll. Done.

#Review list of people to tell I've moved. I wrote this in Feb and it's out of date now. Done.

#Find out how much Mail Re-Direction is. £19.50 for 3 months.

    #Packed lunch for work. Done

    Good Morning All

DNMS - Thanks for starting us off this morning, wow what a list.
stitchy - have a great stitching day
    Sibles - Special hugs

Hi to all the regulars and welcome to any newbies that join this FAB group

Am trying hard to stay positive although my health is making this difficult at the min but at least I feel now that someone is taking me seriously and offering further investigtions - chest x-ray today for cough had since Feb but chest appears clear, pain in side appears to be a blockage in my bowel (sorry tmi) need to keep an eye on as my brother has caeliac disease and 3/5 of my immediate cousins have chrones. Today I will try:

    Check Banks - Done
    Check swapits - Done
    Cokezone Codes - Done
Keep up to date on Emails - Done
Keep up to date on surveys -
    Quick tidy round - Done
Meals from stores - FAIL - chips on way home from hospital
    X-Ray at hospital - Done
Food Tracker - in progress (37lbs off so far)
WW weigh-in (if back in time from hospital) - Going in morning
Read (library book - James Patterson "Private Games") - in progress
    Comps - Done a few
10 mins on Yantra Mat -

Hope you all have a great day, love and best wishes to you all

    C xx

Stitchy - Hope you manage to relax this evening and feel better soon

Managed quite a bit today even:

    WORK (11.30-1.30)
    Order £20 cheque from Mutualpoints

Off now to make a Fruit Salad and relax for the evening.

Take care everyone, love you all xx
