Wednesday 26th September - What small DFW things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:money:
Morning guys  big hug to sibles, hopes you're ok hun x
My list for today
* quick shower
* breakfast and dinner from stores & stick to diet
* dinner at friend's having a handover for becoming treasurer for a charity

* come home at lunch and pray the contracts are here otherwise the move is going to be delayed by 2 weeks....

Good morning DNMS and thanks for starting us off today. It's a Stitching Witch day today so I'm in a good mood - full of a rotten cold but happy!
So far today:- WM run on Economy 7 electricity
- washing up done on Economy 7 electricity
- breakfast from stores
- fed and watered the chickens
- checked banking - still just in the black and payday tomorrow :j:j:j
- checked for surveys
- deliver eggs to two customers
- catch up on household accounts
- spend most of the day in the sewing room - two repair jobs and a blouse to finish
- lunch from stores
- start cutting fabric for Roman Blinds
- keep checking for surveys - might get a voucher by Xmas!!!
- HM fish pie for dinner - everything from stores
- have an NSD
I think that's all from me today. I ought to get dressed and get on with things, but it's very tempting to stay snuggled under a blanket and get lost in the forums....

As it's payday tomorrow my 'financial fast' will be coming to an end (we desperately need to go shopping etc). I'm really pleased at the result - including today (as I know I won't be spending anything) I have spent a total of £62.24 excluding bills, and had a super 21 NSDs out of 26 days. :j:j:j
I might try this again at some point, but Christmas is coming up so it might not be until the New Year!Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -
It is fantastic what you have done stitchy! I had a look to see if you were on the thread but only looked through the last 2 pages. Its very impressive and just what you needed I think
for everyone - I have been reading the happiness website I recommended last week and have been doing a small thing. At the end of the day I sit and think about 3 things I am grateful for, I did it with oh last night so there was actually 6 as they all related to things going on in our joint lives. Its really helpful to remain positive and see that despite the challenges in life there are lots of really good things and they outweigh the challenges by far!
Anyway enough of the sermon :rotfl:DF as at 30/12/16

Gmorning ladies!
Good on you, DNMS! Be careful not to burn out with all that on your plate - all such exciting things though!
Happy stitching, stichy
Hello La E and Candy
I am manically busy still, I thought this week was going to be more human! Oh well. I'm going to spend the afternoon doing some field work in a brothel so should be humbling / interesting at least.
Anyway, today:
- breakfast at home (need to get better at this)
- lunch provided by work
- tea from meal plan
- motorbike everywhere I need to go
- send in doc which some clients need (they finally paid me for the consulting earlier in the year - thank goodness, since I had already spent it on flights for October
all out of savings though so at least no credit)
- get back on budgeting properly, will try not to withdraw more cash before payday and will budget for October
- maybe gym tonight if I can leave at a reasonable hour
- pick up some pills at the clinic ehem (had a dream last night where I had one of those hidden pregnancies - scared me straight!)
- change flights as didnt manage it the other day
Hugs to allMortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000
Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

Am trying hard to stay positive although my health is making this difficult at the min but at least I feel now that someone is taking me seriously and offering further investigtions - chest x-ray today for cough had since Feb but chest appears clear, pain in side appears to be a blockage in my bowel (sorry tmi) need to keep an eye on as my brother has caeliac disease and 3/5 of my immediate cousins have chrones. Today I will try:
Check Banks - Done
