0844 numbers

Is there a website which gives alternatives to these pricey 0844 numbers?

Nearly everyone seems to have adopted this & it's costing customers a small fortune.

    +1 for saynoto0870

Also bookmark '0800 Wizard' for dialling 0800 numbers from mobiles.. They're only free from landlines:eek:

    and Giffgaff mobiles.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Those who do not have inclusive minutes on their landline may well find it cheaper to call 0844/0845/0870 than the corresponding 01/02/03 number.

If you have inclusive 01/02 minutes landline or mobile ,and the non geographical number is registered by them , (normally numbers that are used a lot), this 0121 access number could prove useful. This service covers all 08 numbers etc.

I use a little App called 0800 wizard, so when I enter them on my mobile, it automatically searches to see if there's an alternative and dials them automatically. So far so good!

Thanks for that tip! I just hope they don't use the saynoto0870.com database to get the geographical delivery numbers.

Just a pity that the service does not work if you withhold your number. It does work when calling to any 01/02/03/0500/0800/0870 number but, sadly, not to any 0845 number.
