Thanks for all the help on the savings tax.

have had a trail around the moneysupermarket and have found the best rate for an easy access account is the AA at 5.31%, Does anyone have any know if any better rates for easy access, are just around the corner?

saving over 25k so don't qualify for A&L, Any ideas? Any easy access with good interest savings in the pipeline that anyone knows off?

£25,000 in Alliance + Leicester 'Online Saver' (as mentioned by grumbler) @ 5.35%

+ £1,000 per month deposited into Regular Saver of Derbyshire Bdg Soc @ 5.85% gross (1 penalty-free withdrawal allowed per year)

+ up to £35,000 into each of various other building societies or banks
