No it won't work like that. You will need to pay for the 3 most expensive ones together for it to deduct the cheapest, then pay for the £10 toy separately.

This is correct, you need to stick to 3 per transaction. My friend ended up having to go for a refund after trying what the staff told her.
  • I was wanting too get my 3 year old daughter the Innotab 2 and a Furby for Xmas but im struggling to find a suitable third item in a similar price range for the 3 for 2 offer, has anyone came across anything they would recommend? Thanks

  • Thanks for the heads up on this guys!

I reserved some bits on Tuesday and picked them up Weds evening.

Seems I wasn't the only moneysaving mum in store, very impressed by the lady on the next till who had a colour coded spreadsheet with all her reservations on it! very organised and MSE, Hello if you are an MSE member!! :T

I managed to pick up the following bargains:

    WWE brawling buddy £24.99
    Nerf Elite tactical vest £24.99
    Uno Roboto free
    Wrapping paper £1.00

    = £50.98 - £5 voucher received

    Cuddeuppet £19.99
    Moshi Monsters App toy £22.99
    Star Wars fighter pods free

    = £42.98 - £5 voucher = £37.98

    WWE championship belt £17.99
    Nerf Hailfire upgrade kit £12.99
    Vtech moosical beads free

    = £30.98

£180 worth of toys for £119.94, I'm happy with that and most of the xmas shopping is done. :D

Hi icecubequeen , yes it was another MSE member with her colour coded spreadsheet you saw at Tr*ro Argos on Wednesday :D

Always amazed that people dont made more of these deals with Christmas coming up.

If it helps anyone I reserved everything I wanted in no particlar order as I was finding if I tried to reserve in groups of three at similar prices some of the items were out of stock.

I then put all the items in a spreadsheet with the following columns : reservation number , item , price.

I then sorted by price, this helped me maximise the savings ie made sure that I hade three items of same/similar value.

This was then grouped into threes. The sales assistant was great and all I had to do was quote the reservation number and individual item as I had grouped them, and then pay for these groups.

I had to pay for 5 seperate lots and together with the £5/£10 voucher saved £270:T.

I had made my kids do their Christmas list the previous weekend so I knew exactly what they wanted which helped ;)

Christmas is sorted and I wont need to be up the the crack of dawn to do this years Sainsburys half price toy sale :rotfl:

    Hi oakeyrose!

As soon as I saw the spreadsheet I thought they must be an MSE'er!!

I'm thinking the same as you regards the Sainsburys sale, got everything I need from Argos, so no need for the crack of dawn race to Sainsburys this year!! (Saying that I might get caught up in the bargain hunting and end up going anyway :rotfl:)
  • Sorry if this has already been asked before. Can I order on line exclusives in store for home delivery and still get the 3 4 2 ??

This is interesting as I purchased 6 x £25 toys and 3 x £7 toys in the same transaction and the till took off 2 x £25 toys and 1 x £7 toy. I had to double check the receipt as I could not believe that it had worked out in my favour.

I had reserved them as two seperate lots - 6 x £25 toys and 3 x £7 toys so don't know if that made a difference or not?
  • Hi can anyone tell me do they think the ereader below would count as a toy? its in the toy section! Also do you think it looks worth the money? its for an 9 year old but not sure weather to put the extra and get her the kindle she was asking for. TIA x
