Boiler breakdown Cover Problem

I Have an issue with theinsurance company that is providing the cover for our ailing Boiler.

There has been a small issue withthe boiler that does not prevent it working but makes an awful noise. I havebeen informing the engineers (every year they come to service it) about this forlast 3 years, and only two months ago a new guy informed me that the boilerneeds a new part that would be difficult to source as the company that made theboiler no longer exist.

The insurance company has beentaking the premium from me to maintain the boiler, knowing full well that whenit breaks down and if it needs a new part then they are not going to be able tofix it. This does not sound fair to me!

Would I be entitled to refund ofthis year’s premium? Or Could I get them to fit a new boiler of my choice thatI’d source and purchase myself?

Many thanks for your help

What's the boiler and what's the part?. Most companies will fit a part you source yourself as long as it's new and bg for ex will buy it for you from most mainstream suppliers. No chance on a refund or free fitting as your boiler / system is still covered for parts which are still available.

    Boiler: SERVO WARM ELITE 21.
Part : SPARK ELECTRODE AND LEAD

servo warm are no longer in business so I gather that they are not able to get the lead.
    thanks

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
It appears here less than £5, why that would cause excessive noise is a little beyond me.
