i am planning to be married next year but have become quite suspicious of the company we are using they have just given us the runaround and ive heard some bad first hand reviews too , please dont telll me i should have checked this first we did and its only recently things are coming to light ,, i agreed to pay over £2000 and signed an e document which detailed what we would be getting etc , i have paid a £500 deposit , i now no longer want to go thru this site for my wedding but on the forms it says NON REFUNDABLE / NON CHANGEABLE. 100% CANCELLATION CHARGES APPLY do i have to pay the remaining balance ? or can i cancel and take the hit on the deposit and go with someone i am more comfortable with without any fuss ? , im not verywell versed on money matters and am sat here in tears at the thought ive basically f~~~ked everything up.... found terms and conditions but still none the wiser so hopefully someone can help ..........

They can only legally claim for the losses they have sustained irrespective of what their contract states.
You will have a devils own job to get any of your deposit back but they wont have a leg to stand on to try and get the balance of the agreement given the amount of notice you have given.0 -
OP, this post may help...

There is a giant banner at the top of the CAB board...
And by clicking on it you get taken to this thread.
It appears they are only answering questions on four different topics:
· dealing with debts and debt disputes
· housing benefit
· tax credits & benefits for people in work or looking for work
· your basic rights at work and redundancy problems0 -

Which is as far as I can see is circumvented and not seen if you click on the latest topic on the CAB board on the Forums.
To be honest I think all of the above is far better covered elsewhere on MSE.0 -
