Do you mean that you want system and settings to look like they did in XP ?I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0 -

I think thats what I mean, I run XP at the moment(old puter) and find it easy, I tried using my brothers computer that is 7 and cant get used to it,but my new puter is 7 and somewhere it was explained that even though loaded with 7 you can run as XP although apparently you will not be able to get any XP updates,

got the original message from my brother wrong (posting on his behalf)
this is what I should have put
[ I dont want the whole package of XP. . It is the ease of downloading pictures from a chip or cable connection from a camera to the host PC. In the XP program there is a step between downloading everything not previously downloaded which enables a choice of frames to download and the facility of these being sorted into named files before download. Vista onwards have cut this easy to use and helpful step from the program. More time spent sorting files after downloading all or just the latest shots.
Windows 7 8 XP Vista are all user friendly and do the job it is the camera wizard that is the great loss in later programs . Any suggestions]
TIA (again)I
