Family Annual Travel Insurance and Febrile Convulsions

Has anyone got any experience of one of their children having febrile convulsions and trying to get travel insurance?
I just tried Tesco and rather than have febrile convulsions as a relatively common childhood occurance caused by high temperatures, they decided it was a type of epilepsy that a cause had not been found for and no medication being taken for!! Needless to say this resulted in a quote of £240 for all three of us!
My daughter has had one convulsion in the last year (4 weeks ago) which resulted from a flu-like virus...
What should I declare? Thinking about it...the convulsions she has had have always resulted from temperature caused by flu etc... so are they really a pre-existing medical condition or a result of illness? Sigh. I wish I could talk to an actual medical underwriter who understands some medical stuff rather than a customer services agent who just says "Computer says its like epilepsy"
Any advice?

I wouldn't even mention it. A febrile convulsion isn't a condition, as you say it was a result of a virus. If she actually hadf epilepsy then fair enough but she hasn't.

I have to declare that she was hospitalised last month when she had the flu and it led to a convulsion but I think I will start with by saying that it was the virus that she was hospitalised for.0

finally someone who was speaking sense!
Medicover quoted just for my daughter for 8 days only, covering everything, £21. They also agreed that febrile convulsions weren't a "pre-existing" medical condition...more the result of another illness. SENSE!!!
Would definately recommend them as they were speedy, informed and helpful.0
