Commadore (64)/Amiga emulator

went to a car boot at weekend and got a box full of C64 and amiga games for a couple of quid, and a disk containing the roms for the games.

I'm looking for a decent (FREE) emulator for both the C64 and Amiga so I can show the kids what proper computer games look like.

I've also got some ZX Spectrum roms, an emulator for this would also be fantastic.

Thanks

dont mean to be rude but:
    trythis search
you will probably find some games work best with one emulator whilst others work best with another.
i sed to play dizzy roms, but these were just a .exe game file i think, i didnt have an emulator, there was a whole site dedicated to converting old games into roms. you may have wasted a few quid and some storage space there. :)

    h**p://www.c64.com/ was the site..
  • UAE is the Miggy emulator of choice but Kickstart isn't in the public domain, so it's all a bit questionable legally.

As an old Commodore bedroom programmer it hurts to admit this, but your kids won't be impressed.

That said, Lemmings, Cannon Fodder and Pushover still make me smile.

As WhiteChristmas has said, WinUAE is the best Amiga emulator, but it doesn't include the Kickstart files. I was lucky I still had my old A500 and A1200 so I could get the Kickstart from them following the instructions.

For C64 emulation, FRODO is considered to be the best.

Still got my A600 and A1200:o

I remember adding 8mb of memory to my 1200 and a squirrel interface and felt like I had a 'super set-up':rotfl:
