Warranty advice needed
Options
I've just put my 2 year old Fiat Panda in for its service, and have been given a report which states that the offside front suspension is worn and is 'safety critical' . This will be replaced under the 3 year warranty on the car. BUT - the report also states the offside tyre is "worn on inner edges due to ball joint worn" - and I've been told that I cant claim this under warranty despite the two matters being clearly related. I'd welcome any advice as to whether this is correct or not.
In addition I've been given another "safety critical" notice that "the front brake discs inner face is badly scored with pads". I've done just 14,000 miles, and am a pensioner not a boy racer (the dealer receptionist suggested it was probably down to me not using the brakes enough!), all servicing has been done on time and at the official dealer - surely this, too, is a warranty matter. Again, any advice gratefully received.

Most warranties don't cover "consumables" which brake discs are.
Appeal to Fiat over the tyre wear and see if they are sympathetic.0 -
We're supposed to check our tyres before every journey, few of us do, me included. If you had you'd probably have noticed the uneven wear and got the suspension fixed sooner and not needed a tyre.
As Quentin says FIAT might be sympathetic. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
When I had a new car with wheel alignment issues, Ford paid for new tyres as goodwill.0

I think I'd be arguing that the discs shouldn't need replacing after 2yrs/14000miles and ignore the comments about your brake usage. Given the suspension and tyre issue you might start asking the dealership why you'd ever buy a new car from them again. The whole point of buying new is that these thing should be covered.0

ball joints are a weak point on panda
discs do corrode if not used enough
tyres should be checked so not a dealer issue but you could try moaning and prodding with your stick at dealer for goodywill0 -

not true though is it
manufacturer not responible for our poor roads which can wreck balljoints very quickly
discs are the new consumable since pads were banned from being made of asbestos its a payoff for brakes to work
its a newish car not a sherman tank0
