In April 2010 sky news exposed Ajay Ahuja as a scam artist ripping off Landords with his buy to let company selling so called Below Market Value properties . His company (Ahuja Group) went quiet as it was targeted with multiple lawsuits.

  • Thanks Bro.

I was going to give Ajay a couple of mill after that Nigerian dude gives me the money from his dead auntie, but now I wont.
  • i'm not sure i'd call what was described in the sky article as a 'scam' - sounds more like a natural possible consequence of trying to purchase repossessed property to me.

i would have thought you'd be all over the cheap property on offer brit, or is affordable housing now a bad thing?

These guys only know one way to make a quick buck....Find a mug...
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
  • Many thanks for the warning.

But I fear it might be a little bit wasted on here, since I don't think many of the posters were born 24/9/2012 [i.e. yesterday].

Just the mere mention of a house being available at "30% off market value" says it all. Such an item doesn't exist. Clearly there could be plenty of houses available at, say, £70K when the 'identical' one two doors along went for £100K last month, but that would be because it has subsidence, or was wildly bashed about/gutted..... in which case £70K would tend to be its "market value".

It never ceases to amaze me how many people fall for the same trick in all sorts of fields of investment.

"I know of a brilliant 'can't-lose' investment. Instead of investing in it myself, I am selling the knowledge to you for £3,000, so that you can make all the profit."

Give me a gun and I might happily shoot the perpetrator. But as to the people who fall for it and hand over their hard-earned, I find it very difficult to sympathise with them. This scenario is proof of the saying "You can't legislate for stupidity".

My only other main frustration is why Trading Standards Authority agents are not round to places like this tomorrow looking the proprietor in the eye. Their message should be:

"We are taking a very close look at your trading methods Mr Ajuba. We will be sending many undercover investigators to you and you won't know who they are. We will be looking at every piece of paper. Taping every word. One slip and your feet won't touch the ground. You will be in Jail."
  • Well done Brit I now know why you thought house prices would crash 40%

Hey Brit it's your birthday we gonna party like its your birthday 40% off on your birthday
