                    Hi All,
I have credited my Flex Regular saver on 29th August £250 and 5th September £250 giving a balance of £500.
On 22nd September another credit has gone in £250 giving a balance of £750.
This credit on 22nd September is not from me. I have messaged them in my online banking asking them to investigate where its come from.
Am I right in thinking that the first 4 numbers of the account number represent the branch? The credit has come from Account number 0444/*** *** ***. Anyone know which branch this is?

Don't think it's the branch - or if it is it identifies the type of account as well (eg current, flex, savings, ISA, etc)
It may be a stupid question - but you've not inadvertently set up a standing order or DD have you?0 -
Yes the first 4 digits are normally the branch identifier. However the first 4 digits of my Regular Saver are different numbers from my local branch number as it was opened by phone.0

            444 is "47/49 Queen Street, Cardiff, CF10 2AS"

Thanks for that.
I live in Stoke
The last time I was in Cardiff was when Stoke played there.
I hope this does not mess up my interest when they put this right. The T&C's only allow £250 credit per month.0 -
They don't seem to stop you putting in more than £250 a month, so far I have £800 in their over August and September. I have read the T&C and their is nothing in their to say what they do if you put more than £250 a month in. I would have thought they would have either stopped me or transfered the money back, but they haven't done either yet.0

"10. There is no requirement to make a monthly deposit into the account after the initial deposit. If you choose to make further deposits into the account, the minimum deposit is £25. The maximum monthly deposit is £250.
12. We will reject payments into the account that are less than £25 or more than £250. The whole amount will be returned to the payer."
There it is. However if you're making several payments of between 25-250, this may explain it...
Though if they're not returning it, keep quiet, might bump your interest up a bit!0 -
All of the payments have been below 250 but their was more than one 250 in a month! So everybody SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH don't tell nationwide! :-)0

I suspect when they credit the interest, there will be some check against the maximum interest payable and then someone will check and return the excess money, meaning you earn no interest of the returned money. However you might get lucky.0

This credit on 22nd September is not from me. I have messaged them in my online banking asking them to investigate where its come from.
Their Message service says "We will get back to you within 48 hours"
As at this moment I have had no response from them and the £250 is still sitting there.0 -
It's mine, can you send it back to me please................0
