I agree that this is a very good program but it is not free as the MP3 encoder has to be purchased!

dpPowerAmp v10 was the last free version, which works very well. It can be found if you look around on the web. Think I may still have it somewhere at home myself.

This is true, but you can encode mp3s for 30 days with it- might be enough for the OP..

Tried this one - you're told its free until you get to 'install' then it tells you to text for an installation code (calls cost £2 blah blah....)

Oh well... I'll try one of the others.
