replay radio ?

I would like to copy onto cd's audio programs such as afternoon story on BBC radio. Is this possible and is it legal,if these are so could some kind person tell me how and onto what type of cd should I use.
I am not a techie guy so simplicity please if you are answering my cry for help.

    The answers are yes and no. Why did you direct this question to this forum ?
    Have you contacted the BBC and stated your request ? They planned to free up their radio archive to a significant extent and recent radio is web accesible. Lord Justice Hutton changed a few things with no just reason so I don't know where we are today. Michael Grade has never had a lower profile.
