Thanks, appears to be having some effect, looks like the problem occurred over the weekend when I updated the software on my iPhone, looking through the recuva scan file, a number appear to have a long winded message about
Apple computer\iTunes\iPhone software Updates\iPhone3,1_6.0_10A4030 -
Luckily you can use your backup that was regularly made so nothing got lost in the end, right?
Time to consider backup to DVD and second hard drive, maybe online storage as well.....no one backup is reliable so for important stuff spread the risk across various media and solutions.
