Advice re brakes on a car please

    regarding the front brakes, if the fluid was leaking out of the rear cylinders/brake lines/wherever, then yes there would be a knock-on effect to the front brakes. Once this leak has been remedied the garage would have implicitly HAD to top up the brake fluid level, so the whole system was up to capacity. There are not separate fluid and pipework systems for front and rear brakes, it's all one system. On a pushbike (or motorbike for that matter), front and rear brakes ARE totally separate, on cars they are not.

  • Thank you all. I have shown her the responses on this and the families/relationships forum, and although she's still not happy about it, the baby has now been collected by the ex's friend and gone for contact :).

    Unfortunately, he's picked a rotten day for it, as the little one's back teeth are cutting, and she is snotty, whingey, clingy, producing atomic nappies, and generally bad tempered today. But at least my daughter gets a few hours break from all that :T!
