Hotpoint Washer Dryer WD860 Fault F-11

Hi all,

As title really, my machine is showing fault code F-11. I've just found this: http://www.hotpointservice.co.uk/hs/pages/content.do?keys=book_a_hotpoint_repair and wondered whether it's worth getting this, it sounds too good to be true so wondered if anyone else has had their machine repaired ?

I have the same error and on searching the only thing I can find is:

F11 - Pump cannot be activated - Book a washing machine repair

I don't know whether it's worth paying out to get it repaired as its several years old, or if we should just buy a new one.

Thanks, I saw that as well, but also been told on Hotpoints it can also mean there's a blocked filter. Just noticed you can get a new machine from Tesco, with good reviews, for £160. Considering my machine is 5 years old, how soon before other bits start wearing out?

I saw that too, but the filter is not accessible on ours. It says it's a 'self-cleaning filter'. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a sock/underwire or something in there.

I tried using a limescale cleaner and that seemed to resolve it for a while but the error message is back.

I'm going to ring around washing machine repairmen and get some quotes first, but have been looking around at prices for new too.
