You absolutely can make your own but dogs and cats need a balance of meat, bone, offal and skin. I made my own mix for my last cat based around frozen Value/ Smartprice chicken portions - yes they can eat raw bone with supervision, that is what they would do naturally and it cleans their teeth. Read up on BARF for dogs.

I'm currentley having Logan on a part BARF (bones and raw food) diet, going really well so far but there is a lot to be learned.

There is a raw feeding group on facebook that I find very helpful.
