I bought a new microwave just after new year from Argos, one of these combi ones but only used the basic settings, couple of weeks ago the defrost stopped working and i've had the house upside down looking for the receipt without any luck. On Saturday i was buying something else and asked what if anything i could do, Lady says if i paid on my card just bring in the statement. Unfortunately the statement i thought was the correct date said £50 'cos i'd part paid with a voucher given to me at Christmas of another £50. I thought 'cos things didn't match and i had no proof of the voucher they'd chase me.
But hats off to Argos, no problem pick your new £100 combi up tomorrow.

They did that with my TV. They just look up the transaction, they look for the product on the date you purchased it. I bought a TV and a Nintendo Wii at the same time, so the price was unknown. But all they need is the date of transaction and the item model. My TV's still being repaired, should hopefully know by Thursday if it's going to be fixed or replaced.
