Credit Card PPI cover... mis-sold?

Hi folks,
I'm wondering what the deal is with PPI cover on credit cards. I've had mine for quite some time now and I'm more than a bit peeved about it. I don't have it on my other products, and despite sounding pretty thick for not realising, I've been paying it every month and it's adding a fair whack onto my bill.
I'm going to cancel it (they can't do it over the phone, apparently, I have to sign a letter they're sending me!) but has anybody else successfully claimed a full or partial refund on their charges?
I know it's unlikely, but I thought I'd see what other people's experiences were before writing to them about it. :A

To claim any previous payments back you will need to prove a mis selling case. Going from your post, it seems you simply don't want it any more or at worst, you were not particularly aware that you had it. That does not equate to mis selling.0

I have also been paying PPI cover on my credit card it has just been added to my account without permission. After contacting the bank they do not have any authorisation off me agreeing to add this but say i received information to tell me PPI would be added and i had to cancel within 30 days i did not receive any information and think they have ripped me off is it worth complaining and asking for a refund.Hi folks,

Most definitely complain about that. That is out of order.0
