Contents insurance for watch

Trying to insure my Omega watch as a student is proving to be a nightmare. The watch is the most important thing but I'm also wanting to insure my laptop and phone, with cover away from the home for the watch and phone. Does anybody have any ideas? Endsleigh won't cover me for individual items over £2500. I'm not too bothered if the watch needs to go on a separate policy as long as it's not going to cost the earth. I don't live in a student area or one that's particularly bad. Thanks in advance.

Are you in shared accommodation or do you have a self contained/ locked place?
What is the value of the watch?
What is the value of all of your stuff inc those high risk items?
If you go through Confused.com or one of the other aggregators you can put your details in including the watch and itll come back with those that will insurer you - the only possible issue will be if your sharing a flat with mates etc0 -
I'm in shared accommodation with four others, watch is worth £4000 and i'm looking for £5500 or £6000 total insurance, but I'll have a look at confused.com thanks.0

Have a look on the aggregators but you may need to consider buying specialist insurance for it - insurers are not going to be keen on the fact that one item represents such a high proportion of your total insured value.
Also check that your parents home insurance doesnt include students away from the home cover as some policies do whilst you are in further education. If it is then check the single unspecified item limit and declare the watch if it exceeds this limit0
