  • I think it is Macademia and Shea nuts.
    Coconuts aren't technically a nut.

One thing I love about comping is you learn loads!!! Loads of little facts like these all add up!!!
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea
  • I reckon the obvious answer they want is macadamia nut and coconut - I doubt the folks who set the competition are trying to test us on our understanding of botany!

Yes, coconut is technically a drupe rather than a nut. However shea butter comes from seeds, not nuts, and there are several other seed oils in the ingredient list, so that can't be the answer.

Shea butter is extracted from the Nut of the African Tree (Vitellaria paradoxa).

As Scottme has said, Coconut is a Drupe, not a nut
 Thank you to everyone!

Although Wikipedia isn't the most reliable resource I agree with xangeleyes, sorry scottme. The seed of the Shea tree is the Shea nut. A quick google will tell you this from many websites.
p.s all nuts contain a seed - in fact the macadamia oil comes from the seed of the macadamia nut, so shea butter comes from the seed of the shea nut.
