Should this eBay seller be trusted?

Hi,

I've seen a complete set DVD box sets on eBay going cheap, but with over £65 postage from Taiwan. Even with the postage taken into account, it's looking like good value.

The guy wanting to make a bit of extra profit out of the postage doesn't bother me if the total price is right, but he also doesn't accpet Paypal, only wanting to deal with direct payments to his account.

Should I be nervous about bidding on an item like this?

Thanks for your help!

I'm worried that you don't mention their feedback?

If you post their ID, I'm sure folk will be willing to pass an opinion. :D

To me the fact you're asking is telling me that you are, and probably should be nervous about this guy.

If you cannot use paypal or similar then you will have very little comeback if something goes wrong. Paypal will refund you up to a limit so best to try and stick with sellers who offer this option.

I agree with mecanno, if they don't take paypal then don't deal with them.

Unless they have huge amounts of positive feedback for selling similair items and have a cast iron refund policy or insurance if the parcel goes astray you have no comeback at all. It would be just like giving your cheque to a guy you meet in a pub who promises you goods in a few weeks.
