Dial Direct £15 fine for lack of signed agreement

Probably on shaky ground here, but I was with dial direct last year, and being pretty hectic, did nothing about my house insurance, which apparenly rolled over with them.
Receieved a letter for them (40 odd pages), about renevewal, which I didn't read, assuming it rolled over. However, then received a £15 fine for not returning a signed copy of the loan agreement (paying by installments instead of fixed sum).
Now the signature says that I should sign 'only of you want to be legally bound by its terms', these terms include the £15 fine for not returning.
By not returning it, I have surely not agreed to be fined? Right?

Probably not. I was given a work contract that i did not agree with, When i
looked it up by continuing to work it would be deemed that i automatically accepted them.

I had to return the contract and state i was working under protest until the terms were changed.

Have they taken payment yet? Be careful they dont cancel the policy which may cost you more in future.
