Not sure if this has been posted before - but where can you get nice strong boxes for packing, preferably free?!
We haven't mooved for 25 years, and last time, we just got them from the supermarket! Can't think where you would get them from now, and I've had a quick look at some to buy - and it would cost a lot, for the number we'll need!
Hope you all have some great suggestions!
Thanks

not sure about the free,
but have you looked on e bay? Got an load of assorted boxes, wardobe boxes and other bits from someone who had moved house themselves. Cost me around £10, but well worth it, gave them to friends when we had moved0 -
Keep your eye on freecycle or gumtree. I often see boxes offered by people who have just moved themselves and want rid.Herman - MP for all!0

If you are using a removal company, they'll loan them for free. If you are doing it yourself, look nearby for houses that have just been sold and occupied. They may be glad to get rid of the boxes their removal firm gave them, as not all removal companies bother to collect them, and they take up a huge amount of space.0

I use boxes for my small business and just contacted the local bookshop who now keep all of their boxes for us. They are good strong boxes and tend to come in standard sizes so good for stacking. They are happy as they had to pay to have someone take them away for recycling.0

Ask at your local supermarket. The local Co-op here is always happy to give away cardboard boxes, as they only have to send them away for recycling otherwise.Solar install June 2022, Bath

If you get a quote from the big storage places (Safestore etc) they often give you a free voucher for say £20 worth of their merchandise, which you can use to get some boxes. You do not have to actually take up the quote.0
