  • Since that seems to have been a telephone operator giving that advice, a complaint about her doesn't look to have any potential for success.
    If it was recorded then it probably has more.

    FOS will normally take the view that if they were acting for the firm then it is the firm's responsibility to make sure they know what they are doing and/or are properly supervised.

    Just to be on the safe side I have confirmed my telephone conversation with the CMC in writting detailing their confirmation on the charges .
