i had this 3 times with one specific till, hence avoiding that one now

all you need to do is try 0-9 on the end until you find right one

Just go through the numbers 1 to 9, sometimes there is a missing digit on my receipt and I just work my way through.

You could try adding a digit to the end starting with 0 all the way to 9 worth a try
