sorry but as an epileptic I would much rather crush my teeth to pieces and live, than swallow my tongue and potentially die or become brain damaged through lack of oxygen to my brain
its an unlikely situation anyhow in the sense that most people dont carry spoons around with them, but most people would rather err on the side of caution...same goes for calling an ambulance - a stranger in the street seeing you have a fit is not going to know if you have them regular or not.
Always better to err on the side of caution.
Unless glitching or wombling
As said earlier it is impossible to swallow your tongue :A0 -

ok, I'll admit defeat as dont have the energy to do otherwise.
I had my first grand mal epileptic fit aged 8. The advice given over the years was what I posted.
I would confidently deal with another person having an epileptic fit, dealing with it the same way I have always been educated, however I would much prefer people follow the above websites advice.hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -

I really mean to go back... I bookmarked the last page I've read and was going to start there lots of times but...
I had a week from hell(well, two actually!) and set up the new start date for Monday
so I'll 'see' you there0 -
I moved to North Yorkshire for a while and our local boots was pretty much just a chemist so haven't properly boosted in ages. Am back in Leeds now and did the parent club glitch but need to get back into it properly. I have about 4 things in a Xmas pressie stash and that's all
The Leeds store is good on a Monday. They update the clearance aisle and most things go on 75% off. Have you seen the upstairs bit? All the kiddies toys and dummies and things were all on clearance. This was about a fortnight ago.cheesyball wrote: »How did batl3y go today ?
Got kind of trouted again. Gosh, some of these cashiers must be on bonuses for not accepting vouchers. Did you manage to do any today?
Did anyone else think DOCTOR WHO tonight was quite lame? I thought it was meant to be a tear jerker. It was quite confusing. The Rose exit was the saddest ever exit in my opinion.0 -

Of course you all know it's not possible to swallow your tongue:).
no,the tongue deflects back, causing a gagging choking sensation, blocking your airways, causing lack of oxygen to the brain. So no you dont swallow your tongue, its a term of phrase...but it can lead to brain damage and even deathhoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0
