I really don't wish to have to defend myself but it seems locarr is the big hero and no-one dare interfere:( An uncomortable eerie silence after locarrs post. I don't wish to bring the thread down into arguments however I do feel i need to defend myself here

the comment i posted about locarr starting the apg thread was said as a compliment to him but again he uses it to have a dig.

Instead of posting the extremely hurtful upsetting comment he made (which many people I considered friends on here chose to thank) he only had to pm me or report my post and i could have we could have sorted it out. IMHO his comment was unfounded and if you lot can't see the irony in his comment then:(:(:(

I have stopped airing my personal problems on this thread and don't wish for sympathy or thanks for any of my posts, I go out to post my finds as quickly as I can and answer questions to the best of my ability because I love helping people as do most of the posters on here. However I do have a slight tongue in cheek type personality, if that is misunderstood then sorry.

If I have said anything to offend anyone I apologise too
Finally you have 2 choices you miserable lot either love me or you love me:D:D:D:p:p:p:p

I love you both hun, onwards and upwards I say xx

Now, now, that's not what I meant. Come on you must have great stories to tell. the funnier the better. The bar is all about relaxing and enjoying the evening. You never seem to let us get to know the real Henlans, come on spill (yes I am a nosey old bat) xx

    Hmm the real hanlans,

I will let you into the reason for this name.

In the past I have taken to a lot of glitch's one was a fair few years ago. I needed lots of email address and this was one of them. I wanted to join this forum but I dont really use my new name and I checked roboform and found a old email address.

I took the first part of it henlans and used that as my name. The name at the start meat nothing. It was infact a made up name from a form submitter that would create many email addresses for me.

I then started to be known as "Henlans"

My first online glitch was about 9 years ago when I bought 50 intel chips from pcworld for £10 each. The retail value was £340 each if my mind sets me right. Pcworld honoured the error and in the end I didnt pay a penny for them.

My first biggest glitch was about 15 years ago, Sky tv had a interactive service on teletext. You could win prizes on hangman, break the code and some other games. I used to win £2000 a week. This is not a joke. I will let you into a serect. You could dial the service with 2 phone lines. The first one would be the one you used to find the code to break. The second line would be the one you would put the code in. So I was top every week and won £200 a week.

The hangman I think it was called. You would have to guess the words and try and guess as many as you could. With 2 lines you would guess as many as you could and then use the second line to guess more.

Was over 10 games in total. I used to win most weeks all the prize.

On the teletext you used to have Kays Auction Area.. I could win dishwashers, tv's and camcorders for £100 and the value was sometimes over £600.

You would dial a 0898 i think it was at 50p a minute.

Once they saw me winning each week they changed it to monthly. but i got a good amount from it.

Helpful one? I have no doubts that you are both helpful. Tell us a little about yourself, funny shopping stories, trouting stories, anything you like xx

I've really only just decided to become a more savvy shopper but don't get out nowadays so I'm not likely to become much help to the APG board but I'm happy to help where I can.

I'm about to become a granny in December, have two spoiled doggies, one son, one OH who treats me like a queen, an OAP mum who loves a gossip, two sisters - one of whom is estranged from the family as she's a bitter nasty cow who happens to work for Sada. I'm hoping she's about to get fired any day now for something she done to her brother's wife in the store.

Maybe I'll use the Tweety's Granny pic instead of Tweety :) Hope that's enough info :rotfl:

I do have a rather nice collection of smilies that I haven't used for ages too but they're on a hard drive at the moment as this is a new computer.

I have clicked on 'my bag' but there is no box for the code that I can see. I don't mind, I don't normally buy BS products so I don't mind too much. Good to others are getting some bargains though

I'm still catching up but see some people are struggling with the BS glitch. I'll hang around for a minute before I go to bed if anyone wants some help :)
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

We are thinking of getting a puppy so I've copied and saved your post for future reference, hope you don't mind :D

Of course you can. Happy to help and how exciting that you are thinking of taking on a pup. :j
I would love another dog, but I have to be sensible and stick at just two.

If I had the time/money/energy I would definitely become a crazy dog lady with a big pack of assorted waifs & strays. :grinheart
