OT but related, what was the biggest glitch clanger that you have dropped and what did you do?

One of mine was earlier this week on this current APG where I spent £16 or so and because I wasn't thinking in the right way I saw some of the £2 for £3 offers in Asda, thought "that's a better price" and went for it - only to end up 1 item short so no APG.

My more expensive mistake was during Tesco DTD when I bought a few if the large pink Vanish tubs that looked the same size packs but then Tesco didn't match. On that occasion I did return them and said I had bought the wrong ones.

The other memorable one was the Tesco battery glitch which worked in some stores and not others - went through self scan with "a few" packs and was shocked to see it totalled over £50 .. That is the first time I have mislaid my bank card ...

With the battery glitch, I took a load to the till and had grabbed a bottle of Bacardi and some other booze that was on offer. Went through the self scan and had the SA next to me gathering all the packs up to take the security tags. Rushed through scanning the batteries and te total was really low, and didn't want to panic her, so scanned the booze and hit the pay button. Was so glad that she didn't notice that the receipt just printed itself without me putting and money in as I had hit the magic amount where the credit from the batteries matched the cost of the booze and I didn't have to hand over any money at all.

Yesterday another mini troutings even though I'd chosen my till boy well. I think he was put out anyway as I gave him mocs as well but the main problem was after he scanned my APGS he kept my receipts - he said this was to prevent re use but as they normally mark the receipts afterwards this made no sense.

He said the recs go in the bin afterwards which I was not happy about, can't check them against my statements at the end of the month, my bank details on them etc

I wish now I'd used up my collection of mini APGS - that would have clogged his till up, various sizes and shapes all with foot long recs to go with them.

So I rang APG HQ from ohs mobile afterwards and they are having a word with this store.

The SA insisted on keeping my receipts yesterday - said they have been instructed to keep them for any APGs over £3 or £4 ! A bit pointless really. She didn't mark them either - I have my suspicions already about this store's SA's possibly re-cycling my used APG's.

That's rubbish, they can't keep your receipt, what if you paid on credit card you would need the receipt for your files.
