afternoon peeps
had a very mse day today....although didnt think it would be earlier..
My engine management light has been on for the last week, and we think its related to DH putting petol instead of diesel in itGot my BIL to do a diagnostics testingon it this morning, but could only do basic test (he works for VW, my car is Citroen)...came back as Fuel Pump error - Citroen quoted me between £500-£2000 to repair, as well as £114 for another diagnostics test :eek::eek::eek:
DH broke the front door handle and lock last Friday...as a result it couldnt be openedMy dad said it would cost about £40 for a new locking system...until he saw it, then said because of the unusual good quality system, it would be nearer to £120 :eek:
However...this is what he does for a living, so he said he'd checkin his garage and see if he had one that woiuld fit....half hour later he comes back with one :T:T he still had to replace the handle, but it only cost us a couple of crates of John Smiths so happy days!
While he was there, told him about my car...he rang his mate....told me take it to his garage abut 5 miles away....got there, and the chap opened the bonnet..had a quick look then said 'who's left this off?'...turns out when we had the fuel tank flushed after the petrol incident, the people that did it undid something to do with the airflow....which caused the engine llight to come on.
Needless to say, we slipped him a few quid for him to get a drink to say thanks!
So my day started with having to pay out anything from £540 to £2120......and only actually cost me £20 and 2 cases of bitter which we already had in the garage!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Very MSEhoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -

I used them with all different colgate products when I did a Tesco comparable toothpaste shop earlier.
They had them off me, but the sales assistant did check with her superviser, but no problems.
