Its not just a case of owning property at the time of going into the home but if you had ever owned property and what happened to any money from said property. If they then decide that you could have forseen needing care its deprivation of assets. I notice you mention her moving in with you in order for you to care for her which suggests she wasn't in good health prior to the stroke which could well go against you.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
