Eletric Radiator VS Oil Filled Radiator, which is the cheapest?

Other electric appliances which aren't heaters are inefficient mainly or solely because they produce heat, so what we are saying is that all electric heaters (without a fan) are 100% efficient, i.e. they produce no movement, noise or light.Macman, if they have exactly the same efficiency, why would you choose one or the other kind?
The oil-filled rad will be slightly more cost effective in the morning (unless you're staying in) if switched off the moment E7 ends (segment timers 75p at Asda), because it will remain hot for several minutes.
Of course, it'd be better to be running the other type as going-out time approaches otherwise you won't benefit much from the heat released as the oil goes cold.
Don't be fooled by companies who claim that their expensive, brand new electric heater is more efficient; you can't get greater than 100%!0 -
Is it possible to install a storage heater in the living room? A highly insulated one with a fan, so you can release the heat when you choose to, could transfer most your heating energy to the cheap hours. It's not a cheap thing to buy and install, but there are long term savings to be made as well and we could probably do some approximate maths to judge them.0
