Zurich Car insurance

I joined Zurich this July as it was the cheapest quote given, I sent them the details of my previous insurer L & V showing no claims etc and heard nothing till yesterday when the sent me a letter asking for further details as follows
1.copies of all 5 pages of my V5.
2.copy of the purchase receipt, copy of finance agreement or proof of funding.
3copy of driving licence photo and paper front and back.
4.copy of MOT.
5copy of no claims discount used.
6 copy of utility bill within 3 months of this letter.
I bought the car new over 4 years ago, I am an old age pensioner that hates hassle, I have 7 different bank accounts that all required less validation than Zurichs request although I will speak with them tomorrow, funny thing is my first ever car insurer was Zurich some 50 years ago.
As they work out of Cheltenham and its not to far from Cardiff I might just drive up with the details just to see if any of them can read or write.

Could be a big mistake if you don't clear it with them first. They may not have anyone with the time or authority there to deal with you, and you will then have added to your total hassle quotient.
Unless of course you like a good face-to-face argument...0 -
That's a lot of stuff they need for insurance.0

All seem reasonable bar 2 and 6.0

Spoke to someone at Zurich not the area that I am supposed to call but could not get through (neither could he) as its an 0844 number that bugs me as I have free calls on my phone apart from 0844 numbers (there is no other number). I have promised myself next year not to go with anyone with 0844 numbers they are a rip off.0

Is that 0844 number listed here?

Probably sensible, as that way they can get the DNA swabs as well.0 -
When I first read the letter I thought it was bogus someone trying to get info from me, could not find the "send all info and passwords to post box 1 Nigeria"0

I wouldn't visit Cheltenham to hand in the items for your insurance as the Cheltenham office deals with the Assurance side of the business (Some of the old Eagle Star Pensions, Investment Bonds and Endowments and Sterling Investment products) - Cardiff is the office that deals with the Insurance side - All Cheltenham would be able to do is forward it on to the Cardiff office, who would then return it to you.
Also Cardiff is about 62.8 miles from the Cheltenham office (according to one of the routes on Google Maps), so not particulary close.Cheltenham Dude
