Please recommend a new car!
As it's looking like I will be losing the essential car users allowance payable for my job, I'm starting to consider changing my car. My current car is an Altea XL, very thirsty and high tax though great in other respects, and I don't think I'll be able to afford to run it.
I need something with minimal running costs in terms of tax/insurance, economical for urban driving (usual journeys under 10 miles), it must be able to accommodate a variety of child car seats (had problems before with smaller cars) 4 door and not be low to the ground so my Dad can get in and out! Budget around £4-5K.
All suggestions welcome

Chevvy spark... 1.0Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

with you car as part ex i would say you may get a chevvy spark on a 10 plate with your max budget.
although not a fan of chev for high priced parts and service.
avoid french, go with something with long warranty such as used approved kia or used approved hyundai wich will maintain that 7 or 5 year warranty.
look into the small toyota's too.0
