Boots have Pears ... as do other chemists.

I second Dove, my absolute favourite.0

I wash my hands with it in friend's bathroom.
Same smell
Same texture
Same amount of time a bar lasts.
If Uni lever and not bought then the soap would have gone for good. Big out cry about that. They just make it in India now.0 -

Dove or Soap & Glory for me“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Sadly there seesm to be a dearth of decent soaps around at the moment. When Pears changed their formula a few years agao I tried a few others including Imperial leather, but have now gone back to the new Pears which is OK but nothing special. You can still get the orignal Pears on e-bay. Apparently Waitrose are discontinuing their transparent soap. Lush and Body Shop do some nice scented soaps, but the smell doesn't last.0

My favourite soap at the moment is Sainsbury's Basics. It doesn't have lots of moisturisers so the bar doesn't go into a squidgy mess after a couple of days.0

We love Waitrose Ginger and Fig soap - £1.10 per bar. Its very gentle (I have sensitive skin) and the perfume doesn't offend the male family members. In fact OH uses it instead of shower gel.0
