Also, having so recently spent £70 on 2 bras, I don't want to go back again. They're certainly a big improvement on the self-measurement I'd been doing, but nothing is going to be comfortable, I fear.

but a good bra fitter won't even use a tape measure!
Seriously, you sound like a larger busted lady so get yourself to Bravissimo and get *properly* fitted, then back to Debenhams to return the ones that are the wrong size or wrong fit!

The nearest Bravissimo is at least 40 miles away!

I am a 'larger busted lady' now but I have never been so in the past and I don't believe that is how I was meant to be. For most of my adult life I was 34C and I never gave it a thought. It all happened since I put on weight in the past 10-15 years or so and now I've lost quite a lot of it, in the last 3 years I seem to be all 'out of proportion'. I don't believe that any bra fitter in the world will have the answer to the problem. I am seeing someone about it on 8th December.

I've found finding something that works well and then buying multiples to be a good approach.
