as posted above, meter asset manager, you would know if you were aware of the industry
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

The MPAN is on your bill, I have never seen it on a meter because what happens when meters move around?

They did used to do this years ago. Even then, I would always tell a customer to ignore it in favour of the distributors record.

Crossed metering often meant the MPAN would change to the property when unpicking a new build estate.

The MPAN hasn't told anyone the distribution region for years anyway due to the changes in P62 to fully privatise the distribution sector. Only the GSP Group does it now.

Given that Suppliers are supposed to safety check meters at least every two years shouldn't this lack of supplier interest / Meter Plus knowledge be flagged as a concern / complaint?

I would have thought Meter Plus would be able to do this too (given suppliers authorisation). If they can change a meter surely a board isn't such an issue?

    Its the distributors responsibility only.

This isn't part of the 2 years safety check really. However, upon noticing it, the agent may report it as a safety issue direct to the distributor. They then send the supplier a note of it.

The distributor has an incident service to take these forward.

Certainly, Meter Operators who visit do this. I've seen thousands of issues noted to the supplier. The supplier should really contact the distributor but my experience has been that it isn't as they assume their agent has done it.

Rotting meter boards, leaking cut outs, burnt main fuses, cut outs not sufficient or damaged, main fuse stuck, etc...seen these issues reported to suppliers. The suppliers responsibility it not to pay to sort it but yo honour their duty of care to their customer, hence chasing the issue up to protect their safety.

I doubt its works as well with the meter reading and 2 year safety check side reporting it. That goes via 2 agents before reaching the supplier.

The MPAN DOES tell you who the distributor is, what it no longer tells you is who the Meter Operator (MOP) and Meter Asset Manager (MAM) are as these services are unbundled.

The MPAN never told you who the MAP, MAM and DC were from the REMA changes following deregulation.

Yeah, I meant distribution region. Thanks.
