Car failed MOT....

.. because the car mats are not the 'official' toyota ones (some £15 set from halfords) so the tester put the drivers one in the boot.

If I then put this mat back in use, and I have an accident or VOSA pull me over, could I be done for having a non road worthy car?!

20 years ago, it would be a silly question. With some of the ridiculous laws we have today, I'm damn serious. Is it any different to having a CAT installed for the MOT (on a petrol) and then removing it after?

mot is only really good for the day it was tested you could drive to another mot place the next day and fail

  • My god this is a wind up yeah??

If not then the answer is chuck those cheap nasty maps that go all floppy and end up under the pedals in the bin and get some nice heavy duty rubber ones.

Job done enough said me thinks.
Google gives you answers use it.........
