Green funeral - anybody planned for one?

I've left my body to medical science, as there is a shortage of cadavers for students to practice on.
I'm hoping this will be relatively green, as I've opted for cremation (wouldn't bother me if it was mass cremation as per the vets). I'm hoping my body will be of some use after death (possibly more than in life haha).I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

Have you found a university to accept this? We recently looked into this and was told that there was no demand for bodies anymore and therefore no university or med school was interested.

Yes, this is what we're hoping to do. It's important to leave details/your wishes clearly written down, preferably with your will/the solicitor who holds your will, also inform anyone who will need to know at the time.

Although we are practising Christians and churchgoers, DH especially wants the simplest possible funeral for himself.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.
Before I found wisdom, I became old.0 -
My OH wanted a green funeral - and we were lucky that we have a woodland cemetary within two miles of where we lived. We looked at the idea of a wicker or cardboard coffin - but were horrified at the cost of them - and the funeral directors said that it would not be a problem to have a simple pine coffin, with rope handles which was what we had. Although my children said that he would have been happier if we'd used "farmers' friend" - ie orange baler twine for the handles!
A simple service at the local church, then a gentle drive - past our house - to the cemetary, with the hearse and the lovely new limo gliding gracefully through the cemetary ...and then bouncing down a muddy track through to the grave. The last ride seemed oh so appropriate - and unexpected - as we'd lived for years down an unmade track which wrought havoc with the suspension on most of our vehicles!
He's at rest now - with a simple wooden cross just showing his name, date of birth and death at his head - and at his feet a beautiful walnut tree which is now 2 years old, and which is flourishing. We've planted some violets and some bulbs around the base of the tree - and that's all.
It's a beautiful spot, overlooking the water and moorings and will become a beautiful woodland as time goes by.
