ESA50 decision?

Does anybody know how long they take to make a decision or how long after you get sent for e medical after you have sent in the esa50? reason i ask is mine needs to be returned soon but i have a special appointment with my orthopedic surgeon 2 weeks after the form is due back and i think this report would be a very good thing to send in it could make all the difference and save me a ANOTHER 12month appeal

  • You should always send these forms back on time as they can stop your benefits if they don't receive them. Best thing to do is put a note on the form of your appointment and point out that this will give you additional evidence for your claim and include a copy of the appointment letter if possible. I always send these forms back with at least proof of posting (free) or better still recorded (costs 95p) so they can't say they didn't receive it in time.
