Littlewoods delivery not received, tracking say's otherwise!

Ok, so I ordered some items (Clothing) on Thursday afternoon via Littlewoods.com and opted for next day delivery which I think was £4.95.
Anyway, I was hoping that the parcel would arrive before 1:00pm as I had to go out, it's just a risk that I willing to take, and if I was out, then I would just re-arrange delivery. Checking the tracking info at 12:00pm this is what I had:
20/09/2012 16:55 Order being processed at Shaw
20/09/2012 20:50 Parcel being packed Shaw
20/09/2012 21:05 Dispatched from warehouse Shaw
20/09/2012 21:06 Received at Shaw HUB
21/09/2012 04:38 Received at Lichfield Service Centre
21/09/2012 07:07 Loaded onto van at Litchfield Home Delivery
21/09/2012 09:36 Passed to courier Lichfield Home Delivery
So by 1:00pm, the item didn't show and i went out. I returned home roughly 7:00pm (I think) that evening expecting to find a card which I didn't
So I logged online to check the tracking details and this is what it read, as above plus:

I was like "what the hell". I live in a low-rise block and we have no outbuildings. I've asked my neighbours both in my block and the neighbouring blocks if they have received any parcels on my behalf, but unfortunately this has lead nowhere! It's either been left at the wrong address which must have an outbuilding; OR, it has been left in the communal stairwell for anyone to take, I'm sooooo annoyed, the block isn't even secure!
I've e-mailed littlewoods this morning, but I'm guessing they're going to take there sweet time getting back to me, so I just wondered if anyone else suffered this problem?
Why can't they just use Royal Mail or City Sprint, companies which in my experience are actually reliable!

They use Yodel. Do a search on here or anywhere on the WWW and you will see how common delivery problems with Yodel are.
I would phone Littlewoods customer services if you can (if they are there today). If not, phone them on Monday. You may find the parcel actually turns up in the end though, it sometimes happens."So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0 -
I've had Yodel leave stuff in my shed before. Problem is, I live on a first floor flat, and don't have a shed.Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0
